Description

A series of reflection nebulae in south eastern Monoceros.  The area around NGC 2183 and NGC 2185  contains numerous Young Stellar Objects (YSOs) and Herbig-Haro objects, some of which may account for the H-alpha emission near NGC 2183. This cloud of dust resides on the edge of the outer spiral arm of our galaxy.

Imaging data acquired by @Alpha Zhang using AFIL-1, Gemini Observatory, Lijiang, China
